Hi, welcome back to your Daily Mindfulness. In today's session, we're going to talk about the feeling of being behind in life. Have you ever had that feeling? That sense that other people are doing more than you or further along than you. And it's just like, wow, time is moving so quickly. I'm not where I want to be.
There's all these things. I, I feel like I should have accomplished or other people seem to be accomplishing. And it can just make us feel like we, we're behind. So I want to offer a different perspective here. What if there is no being behind in life? What if there's only where you are on the path that you are creating moment by moment? The only way to be behind is to be behind someone walking the same path as you.
And the reality is no one is walking the same path as you. It might be true that people are doing similar things, in similar professions, on similar relationship trajectories, and it might seem like, like there, there are certain milestones I need to hit. Perhaps, but your journey with all of that and when you attain it, is exactly that, your journey. And when we start getting caught up in other people's journey and trying to put ourselves on that path, we can use it maybe as inspiration for our journey, but we can never overlay our journey onto theirs. And once we start doing that too much, we just create all of this extra tension and this feeling of constantly being behind.
There's your path. You're walking it, you're creating it. It might look different from someone else's. It will look different from someone else's and that's okay. Do you.
It's enough. It's all you have. Trust the process. You're doing great. Thank you for your practice.

There's all these things. I, I feel like I should have accomplished or other people seem to be accomplishing. And it can just make us feel like we, we're behind.
