Hi, and welcome to your Daily Mindfulness. Today I'm going to talk about how we can create the right conditions for awareness to grow in our lives. So meditation is an important part of mindful living. It's incredibly helpful to take some time out each day to cultivate awareness in that way. But the reason that we do meditation is really so that we can live our whole lives with more awareness.
That being the case, it's not only our inner world that we want to take time to cultivate, but we also really want to be attentive to our outer world as well. No amount of meditation is really going to help us if we're living in unhealthy, draining or toxic conditions outside of our practice. It'd be like trying to row a boat against a powerful current. And we won't really get that far if we're creating really difficult conditions for awareness to grow in our lives. If we're living in ways that are causing harm to our body, to our mind, or to the people around us in our lives, you know, then even if you're doing a lot of meditation, it'll probably be really unlikely that the calm, contentment and stillness of awareness will be able to take root in the mind and then grow in your life.
So as much as possible, see if you can keep creating the conditions in your life that are nourishing rather than draining. As much as possible, letting go of actions that cause harm. And as best you can practicing kindness, patience, compassion, and awareness. Also just see if you can actively create favorable conditions for inner and outer peace and wellbeing, creating good conditions for awareness to grow in your life. If we can do that, then the sense of wholeness, ease and calm that comes with awareness can become available all throughout each and every day.

Hi, and welcome to your Daily Mindfulness. Today I'm going to talk about how we can create the right conditions for awareness to grow in our lives. So meditation is an important part of mindful living. It's incredibly helpful to take some time out each day to cultivate awareness in that way. But the reason that we do meditation is really so that we can live our whole lives with more awareness.
That being the case, it's not only our inner world that we want to take time to cultivate, but we also really want to be attentive to our outer world as well. No amount of meditation is really going to help us if we're living in unhealthy, draining or toxic conditions outside of our practice. It'd be like trying to row a boat against a powerful current.
