Vidyamala Burch, OBE

Vidyamala is a mindfulness & compassion teacher, coach, award-winning author, and co-founder of Breathworks.

She started meditating in 1985, after a series of spinal injuries in her late teens left her with chronic pain and partial paraplegia.

She found such transformative healing in mindfulness that she devoted herself to study and practice. Eventually, she developed a Mindfulness-based Pain & Illness Management programme which has been recognized by The British Pain Society.

To date, her evidence-based Mindfulness-based Pain & Illness Management (MBPM) approach has reached over 100k people around the world and is recognized by health boards globally.

Vidyamala hopes to pass on the tools that have helped her to reclaim a full and meaningful life.
