Hi, and welcome to your Daily Mindfulness. Today I'm going to propose to you a simple experiment that will unearth and clarify what's really important to you in life. So the invitation is this. Today, and if you are up for it every day this week, see if you can find time each day to contemplate this one simple question for at least five minutes. And the question is, what do I really want? You might like to write this on a piece of paper and then write some answers.

You might like to just sit with this question in quiet contemplation. I recently did this process myself every day for a week, first thing in the morning, and it was incredible to see what emerged from just asking myself this one question really honestly. For me, what emerged was a crystal clear awareness of the things that are not working for me and precision around what the big things were that I felt called towards. It also really surprised me how useful it was to keep asking myself the same question, because each time my answers became more refined, more clear, more solid. Now, of course, once we get really clear on what it is that we really want, we can begin to take action to move towards it.

So this kind of clarity of purpose and values is a really beautiful practice of mindful living as it keeps orienting us back to what really matters deep in our hearts. It means we can live our lives more intentionally, with more purpose and meaning. So in today's meditation, I'm going to offer you a space for some more time to contemplate this question. So I invite you to settle in for that now. And as always, thank you for your practice and your presence here with us in this community.
