Hi, and welcome to your Daily Mindfulness. So today, I'm going to share a simple practice with you that you can use to find a sense of stability in these unstable times. And we really are living through an incredible time of uncertainty and upheaval right now. I'm, I'm sure feeling it. And difficult times like these, we tend to try and grasp for a sense of control of stability in the inherently unstable and uncertain world around us.

But, in truth, the very nature of all experience is forever in flux and changing. And the best way of finding lasting stability is within ourselves and with, within awareness itself. You know, this is a foundational teaching of the world's wisdom traditions. And no matter what's happening, awareness is always here as a resting place in a refuge, just like the ground beneath our feet. So whenever you're feeling really pulled around by all the uncertainty, just remember that no matter what's going on, awareness really is always here.

It's always with you. And in the moments when I'm the most overwhelmed, I have a simple practice that I do. I just take a deep breath in. And on the out breath, I let my attention travel all the way down to my feet, or if I'm sitting all the way down to my connection point with the ground, and I just feel the ground beneath me, and I remember. All the fires, storms, and seasons that have passed over this earth and how steady and peaceful she still stands.

And it reminds me of the stability of awareness within me too. So see if you can remember the simple practice whenever you need to find solid ground again in the days and the weeks to come. So as always thank you for your practice and your presence here with us. And just inviting you now to settle in for today's meditation.
